June Membership Letter

Hello MBHA Members!

It’s time for another update from your Mixed Barbershop Harmony Association board! Things have been moving right along at the district level. We have had sponsors (champions, as I like to call them) in many of the BHS districts who have volunteered to sponsor a Mixed Barbershop Harmony trophy for those who compete in district competitions. We’d like to say a special thank you to those sponsors, and a congrats to the winners!  Watch for those details in a separate post, coming soon.

We’re also excited to inform you that Kyle Kitzmiller (you might have heard of him!) is in the process of redesigning our website. We’re all looking forward to the unveiling of the final product. Responding to members’ requests, there are going to be many new features rolled out in the coming months!

In addition, the MBHA will be hosting a Mixed Quartet Showcase in Las Vegas at 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 7, in the BHS Harmony Marketplace. There will be numerous mixed groups, including Double Date and Vintage Mix! We invite you attend our showcase and check out our booth in the Marketplace.

The MBHA Board of Directors is also seeking nominations for two more individuals to bring additional skill sets to complement our current board activities. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the chair of the nominating committee, Gerry Borden, at sablehrt@gmail.com. Applications are due by June 11, 2017.

Membership cards/numbers are in the process, the hard copies will be sent out to you, but in the meantime electronic copies will be emailed out if you’d like to print it out for your wallet. We appreciate your continued patience as we iron this out. As we all know, sometime life gets ahead of us — but it is something we’re focused on and will make top priority.

Kyle Kitzmiller
